Michael Hackett is producing multiple feature films through his company Rubicon Media including FLASH GORDON, THE PHANTOM and ONE MINUTE TO MIDNIGHT at Fox/Disney, and LOW-G, TIMEQUAKE and HASSLEMAN at Universal.

Previously, he produced ADJUSTMENT BUREAU at Universal/MRC in partnership with writer-director George Nolfi, and PAYCHECK at Paramount/Dreamworks, both based on Philip K. Dick short stories.

Prior to that, Hackett was a production executive at Mario Kassar and Andy Vajna’s C-2 Pictures where he oversaw development and production of TERMINATOR 3, and developed TERMINATOR 4, and was a producer at John Davis’s Davis Entertainment (PREDATOR franchise, GARFIELD, DR DOOLITTLE, ‘The Blacklist,’ ‘Timeless’)

Hackett began as a production executive at Paramount Pictures, where he worked on MISSION IMPOSSIBLE, BRAVEHEART, several STAR TREK chapters, FACE/OFF, DEEP IMPACT, FORREST GUMP, CLEAR AND PRESENT DANGER, RUNAWAY BRIDE, and THE TRUMAN SHOW among many others.

Hackett’s first media job was as an intern at Miramax in New York.

He grew up in Fairbanks, Alaska, graduated from Phillips Exeter Academy and Princeton University, and lives in Venice, CA.
